Empowering Students
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
Our approach to post-secondary planning is holistic, weaving wellness strategies into every step to ensure our students don't just power through distress.
Our Mission
Uprooted Academy is ruthless in its pursuit to alleviate the anxiety and confusion around the post-secondary selection and application process by offering high-quality and relatable programming to meet low-income, first-generation students of color where they are at and support them on a path to confidently achieve their dreams.
The Vision
We envision a world where every student, regardless of background, is empowered to pursue their dreams without sacrificing their mental health. In this future, post-secondary planning becomes a universal launchpad for equity and opportunity, where holistic, trauma-informed support systems dismantle systemic barriers, replace stress with confidence, and ensure that all students—especially those historically marginalized—have the tools, resilience, and networks to thrive in life and lead transformative change for generations to come.

Why Uprooted Academy
At Uprooted Academy, we recognize that traditional post-secondary planning tools are not enough when they are not grounded in trauma-informed support and mental health equity. Our why is rooted in the understanding that under-resourced students need more than grit and intrinsic motivation—they need holistic, culturally responsive resources that prioritize mental wellness to help them build the structures of well-being required to navigate achievement and sustain them through the marathon of socioeconomic mobility.
